Former NBA Champion Metta World Peace and the XvsX Sports platform are hosting a Mental Health Awareness panel and Celebrity Basketball Game on Saturday, July 15th at the WODE Center, located at 121 E. Sunset Rd., Las Vegas, 89119. The event will kick off at 11:30am with a mental health panel featuring speakers Metta World Peace; former WNBA player and mental health advocate, Imani Stafford; and TV Personality and mental health advocate, Kendra Wilkinson, followed by a celebrity basketball game featuring current and former pros and influencers starting at 1:00pm.
This free event is open to the general public and will feature onsite vendors and mental health organizations offering information on services. A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for $50 each, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit, Rescue 11.
XvsX Sports has partnered with local businesses Spiin and Ball Dawgs, and California based Joyely, to spread the message of awareness, education, well-being and anti-stigma. The event seeks to foster a culture that normalizes conversations around mental health and encourages engagement in sports and community.
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in thought-provoking discussions and experience interactive activities that highlight the importance of mental well-being. They will also have the chance to meet influencers, amateur and professional athletes, and watch a celebrity game featuring local and pro talent. The event aims to inspire athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts to prioritize their mental health, seek support when needed, and create a positive and inclusive environment within sports communities.
